Delivery Time Slots and Frequency Capping

Control when and how often ads are shown.

Two settings in the strategy editor control the rhythm of your delivery: Delivery Time Slots decide when your ads can run, and Frequency caps how often a single household sees them.

Delivery Time Slots

The Delivery Time Slots section shows a grid of the full week — one row per day, one column per hour. Click or drag across cells to turn hours on or off. Green cells are hours when your ads can deliver.

New strategies start with every hour selected, shown as No time restrictions. Once you narrow the schedule, the summary shows how many hours are selected.

Preset patterns save you from painting the grid by hand:

  • Any Time — all hours, all days

  • Primetime — 6 PM to 11 PM, every day

  • After work — 5 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday

  • Sleeping hours — midnight to 6 AM, every day

  • Weekend — all day Saturday and Sunday

You can use any of these preset patterns as a starting point. Then "paint" with your mouse to add/remove from your schedule.

If you "paint" your own schedule, the selection shows as Custom. At least one hour must always remain selected.

Timezone: ads are delivered in the local timezone of the locations you're targeting. If your strategy targets multiple regions, "Primetime" means primetime in each one — no math required.

Frequency

The Frequency setting caps how many times your ad is shown to the same household per day:

  • Only 1 time per day — maximum reach

  • Maximum 3 times per day — more reach, less repetition

  • Maximum 5 times per day — recommended for most use cases

  • Maximum 7 times per day — more repetition, less reach

  • Maximum 10 times per day — maximum repetition

The default is 5 times per day. It's a trade-off: a lower cap spreads your budget across more households; a higher cap reinforces your message with the same households. If you're not sure, the default is a good balance.
